Wow- this trip seems to be flying by way too quickly. Constant rush of interviews, sights, and driving to explore this incredible city. But one of the things we hadn't gotten to do yet was explore the ger districts- tightly packed communities of Mongolians right outside of the city. These communities are something we had only ever seen from far away- clumps of white and orange scattered along the rocky horizon that stretched the entire valley. We had seen plenty of photos, articles, models, and statues that showed the unique living situations of the gers, but we finally got the chance to experience it up close and personal.

Thanks to an organization called Ger map center, we got to explore this region we could only ever see from afar.
